Fault finding, Electrical Inspection & Testing

Max Wright Ltd are able to carry out testing of existing electrical MCC’s and LV Switchboard Assemblies in accordance with the latest standards (BS EN 61439-1: 2011). The Inspection / Test Schedule shall be subject to the approval of the client, taking in to account both electrical and health and safety aspects. Examples of available tests include:

• Sufficient shrouding
• Busbar Connection
• Earthing
• Equipment damage
• Component condition
• Circuit integrity
• General operation

Other tests are available on request. This would all be discussed at a pre-commencement meeting


Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)

Portable Appliance Testing covers the examination and testing of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe for use. This will be carried out by our experienced electricians at the clients request and consists of both a visual and electrical inspection. All results will be recorded and reported on a task by task basis. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that all electrical equipment which has the potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition. Max Wright Ltd are able to tailor specific inspection schedules removing all hassle for our client and ensuring regular and accurate records are kept.


Servicing & Preventative maintenance

Regular servicing of electrical equipment can prove an extremely effective way of reducing risk and also unforeseen power outages which could potentially cause interruptions in business continuity. In addition to this, it can drastically increase equipment life, in turn reducing long term capital spend. Max Wright Ltd focus on producing a cost effective, efficient maintenance schedule which will be created based on an initial site survey with our client. Our expert engineers will provide no obligation advice on level and frequency of maintenance leaving every aspect to our client’s discretion.

Once agreed, the service agreement can be amended to our clients’ needs on request.


Repair & Reactive maintenance

In addition to servicing and preventative maintenance, we also offer a repair and reactive maintenance / call out service. All of our service engineers will carry a wide range of electrical spares in order to be able to resolve any potential issues in the shortest timescale possible. We appreciate that any downtime experienced by our clients can be costly so it is therefore our prority to reduce this as much as possible. Once the issue has been resolved, our engineers are able to advise on the most efficient ways to prevent re-occurrence if required.

Max Wright Ltd have decades of electrical engineering experience at our clients disposal which can be drawn upon to assist with anything from initial design to commissioning support. All of our engineers are experienced with the current electrical engineering standards and regulations and are able to provide advice, supported by our fully integrated CAD department using the latest in electrical design software.
